As engineers and designers, our work has a huge influence on energy use and environmental impact. We take this responsibility seriously. Each of AE Design's studios are committed to advancing sustainable, renewable, and ethical technologies. We help our clients advocate for green solutions, and provide expertise in the journey to electrification, Net Zero, and carbon positive design. We pride ourselves on being leaders in sustainability, and taking a holistic approach to consider every step of the process, from auditing manufacturing practices to protecting wildlife with Dark Sky regulations.

Our passionate Sustainability Committee works to constantly push the boundaries of the firm's commitments and capabilities, and press our product reps to do the same. We regularly speak at local, regional, and national conferences to share the story of our internal sustainability goals as well as case studies and emerging technologies we're applying in the field. In addition, with sustainability as one of our five core values, and environment as one of our four pillars of social impact, our team seeks out opportunities to volunteer and donate to these causes. We're a team that loves Colorado's outdoor opportunities, and we work to protect them.

As part of the firm's dedication to continuing education and professional development, we support the pursuit of certifications and memberships for sustainability-minded organizations. Our staff are members of USGBC and the Living Future Institute, and we have many LEED Accredited Professionals on staff to help guide our clients in the design of sustainable systems. We continually seek out learning opportunities for our staff, including attending Greenbuild and Living Future conferences, connecting with our local USGBC chapter, and maintaining an up to date understanding of code requirements to consistently exceed code required energy useage on our projects.
