Rubicon Technology Partners
A Boutique Mountain Workplace
Rubicon Technology Partners wanted a warm, inviting atmosphere to inspire client trust, avoiding stereotypes of an ultra-modern tech office. The interiors team designed with a hospitality mindset, eschewing utilitarian office elements. They visually lowered ceilings with black paint & pendant grids, creating intimate gathering areas reminiscent of a boutique hotel or restaurant.
The lighting concept blends office function with hospitality style, layering light to define smaller areas. The composition balances round decorative fixtures in high-contrast black with touches of the company’s bright red branding. In the elevator lobby, the company logo is echoed by red-lamped pendants tracing its shape from above. Coordination allowed seamless pendant installation through metal slat ceilings & backlit millwork around hallway ceilings aids wayfinding, maintaining a consistent look from the moment visitors exit the elevator.
A show-stopper custom fixture runs the length of the board room, its omnidirectional optics illuminating the ceiling and the room. Pre-set scenes control accent cove lighting, automatic shades, and AV systems to allow a transition from in-person conversation to virtual meetings with the touch of a button.
